High School Xavier Men’s Tennis – Player of the Week Konnor Barth, Loras College Sr., Appleton, Wis./Xavier Barth led charge for the Duhawks over this past week where Loras went 4-0 at the Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head, South Carolina. During the trip, Loras faced Maryville College (7-2), Oswego State (9-0), Western New England (8-1), and Ramapo College (7-2). Versus Maryville, Barth won 6-2, 6-4 over Jonathan Crane in No. 3 singles. In No. 1 doubles, he teamed up with Kevin Blomquist for the 8-5 victory over Crane and Jackson Meyer. The senior against Oswego State secured his second individual win of the trip defeating Anthony Salerno 6-2, 6-3. In doubles, Blomquist and Barth downed Salerno and Austin Davis 8-2. In their third match, Barth picked up a win over Thomas Roche of Western New England 6-3, 6-3. Pairing with Gage Becker, the duo took down Nick Bayer and Brandon Greger 8-6. In the Duhawks' final match in Hilton Head, Barth downed Matthew Doran of Ramapo 6-1, 6-1. Barth paired up with Blomquist again, where they defeated Siddharth Byreddy and Kenny Elliott 8-5. Barth was undefeated in both singles and doubles over the week. The Appleton, Wisconsin native is collecting his first-career Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor.
