Hannah Ausenhus Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 3/20/2023 Sport Softball School Coe College Year Senior Position Hometown Hanlontown, Iowa High School Central Springs Softball – Pitcher Player of the Week Hannah Ausenhus, Coe College Sr., P, Hanlontown, Iowa/Central Springs Ausenhaus helped lead the Coe College Kohawks to four wins over the past week in games she appeared in. The Kohawks went 6-2 overall on the week while competing in Tucson, Arizona. The senior pitched 21 innings where she struck out 12 of 78 batters faced and allowed 11 hits and two earned runs, where batters were held to an impressive .151 batting average. In an 8-0, five inning win, over UW-La Crosse, Ausenhus pitched the complete game where she accounted for five strikeouts and no hits or earned runs allowed in the shutout victory. Pitching another complete, 7 inning, game versus No. 16 Concordia Wisconsin, she had three strikeouts and only allowed one earned run. The Kohawks found the 6-1 ranked win. In her one inning of work versus UW-La Crosse for the second time, she allowed only one run and struck out a batter. Coe picked up another win over UW-La Crosse in extra innings (6-5). In the final game in Arizona, Ausenhus pitched eight total innings to lead the Kohawks to a 4-3 win. She held batters to a .120 batting average while striking out three and allowing one earned run on three hits. Ausenhus is picking up her second-career Pitcher of the Week recognition (5/10/21, 3/20/23).
