Emma Beck Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 3/13/2023 Sport Softball School Central College Year Freshman Position Hometown Holland, Iowa High School Grundy Center Softball – Pitcher Player of the Week Emma Beck, Central College Fr., P, Holland, Iowa/Grundy Center Beck helped lead the Central College Dutch to three wins over the past week. The freshman pitched 11 innings and allowed no runs scored, three walks, and combined for seven strikeouts, on 43 batters faced. On Friday, Beck pitched five innings, allowing no hits allowed, no runs allowed, two walks, and struck out four batters in the 4-1 win over RPI. In her one inning of work on Saturday, Beck allowed no hits, no runs, and no walks as the Dutch went on to win 14-3. When the Dutch faced off against Webster (Mo.), she pitched five innings allowing two hits, three walks, and accounted for seven strikeouts. Beck is picking up her first-career Pitcher of the Week recognition.
