The junior catcher batted .643 on the weekend with seven RBIs, three runs scored, and five doubles. Game 1: Luther 3, #9 Bethel 1 – 1-for-4 (.250), 1 R, 11 putouts Game 2: Luther 8, UW-La Crosse 2 – 4-for-4 (1.000), 4 RBI, 3 2B Game 3: Luther 5, St. Kate’s 4 (8 inn.) – 2-for-3 (.667), 1 RBI, 2 2B, 10 putouts Game 4: Luther 11, Macalester 3 – 2-for-3 (.667), 2 R, 2 RBI, BB Spore hit the game-tying RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning against St. Kate’s and her pinch runner scored the game-winning run to secure the victory for the Norse. Additionally, the starting catcher led the Norse pitching staff to a 2.25 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 28.0 innings pitched over the four games. The Cedar Rapids native is picking up her first-career Position Player of the Week honor.
