Luke Westholder Award Player of the Week Week Of 2/20/2023 Sport Men's Tennis School Luther College Year Sophomore Position Hometown Edina, Minn. High School Edina Men’s Tennis – Player of the Week Luke Westholder, Luther College So., Edina, Minn./Edina Westerholder and the Luther College Norse picked up their first team win of the season, defeating Augustana College (9-0). The sophomore, competing at No. 1 singles and doubles, defeated Arthur Hermange of Augustana (6-2, 2-6, 10-5). Westholder joined up with his teammate, Max Loen, in No. 1 doubles to take down Hermange and Timothee Philip 8-2 for Westholder to go 2-0 on the day. The Norse return to the court on Friday when they travel to Minnesota to face off against Macalester College. Westholder won the 2022 A-Singles Conference Individual Championship and also won A-Doubles with his partner, Loen. The Edina, Minnesota native was an All-Conference Performer for both Singles and Doubles in his freshman campaign. This is Westholder’s second-career Player of the Week honor (2/20/23, 9/26/22).
