Holden Murphy Award Field Performer of the Week (Men) Week Of 2/20/2023 Sport Indoor Track & Field School Loras College Year Junior Position Throws Hometown Benton, Wis. High School Benton-Scales Mound Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Holden Murphy, Loras College Jr., Betnton, Wis./Benton-Scales Mound Murphy competed with No. 5-ranked Loras at the UW-La Crosse Indoor Eagle Open on Friday where they finished second out of eight teams. Murphy took home the crown in the weight throw with a mark of 18.84 meters. His weight throw is a Loras school record and currently ranks sixth on the NCAA Division III Qualifying list. In the shot put, the junior took second out of 16 competitors with a mark of 15.61 meters. The Duhawks are back in action this Friday and Saturday at the conference championship, hosted by Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. Murphy is earning his third-career Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor (1/24/22, 1/23/23, 2/20/23).
