High School River Ridge Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performers of the Week Breya Christopher, Wartburg College Sr., Galena, Ill./River Ridge No. 10-ranked Wartburg College travelled to UW-La Crosse Eagle Open on Friday and hosted the Liz Wuertz Indoor Invite at Wartburg on Saturday. Wartburg finished third out of seven teams at La Crosse with 94 points and won their home invite out of eight teams with 276 points. On Friday, Christopher competed in the triple jump. This was an event she won with a jump of 11.91 meters. On Saturday, the senior broke the conference record and Wartburg’s school record in the high jump (1.75 meters). Her record in high jump also places her second on the NCAA Division III qualifying list while finishing atop the podium at the event. Christopher and the Knights will be in action next at the A-R-C Indoor Track and Field Championships in Storm Lake, Iowa hosted by Buena Vista University on Friday and Saturday. This marks the Galena, Illinois native’s fourth-career Indoor Field Performer of the Week accolade (2/20/23, 2/6/23, 1/30/23, 3/8/21). Additionally, Christopher has earned Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honors once (4/19/19).
