Carter Berkey Award Field Performer of the Week (Men) Week Of 1/30/2023 Sport Indoor Track & Field School Simpson College Year Senior Position Hometown Indianola, Iowa High School Indianola Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Carter Berkey, Simpson College Sr., Indianola, Iowa/Indianola Berkey and the No. 24-ranked Simpson College Storm competed at the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday, where he broke the school record in long jump that had stood since 1986. The senior jumped a mark of 7.22 meters to finish on top out of 12 competitors. This jump currently ranks 6th in the country. Berkey and the Storm will be back in action this weekend at the Bearcat Invite in Maryville, Mo. And Iowa State Classic in Ames. The Indianola native is earning his first-career Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor.
