High School Mayo Men’s Swim & Dive – Performer of the Week Jake Walz, Luther College So., Rochester, Minn./Mayo Walz and the Luther Norse competed in a dual versus Coe College over the weekend. Luther won the dual 158-48. The Rochester, Minnesota native picked up an individual win in the 200-yard free recording a time of 1:49.73. In the 200-yard free relay, Walz swam the third leg to assist leading the team to a first-place finish with a time of 1:30.88 and his split was recorded at 22.49. He also finished second place in the 100-yard free with a time of 50.46. Walz’s 200-yard free was a season best for him. Luther will be back in action January 7, 2023, when they host conference opponent, Loras College, in a dual. The Rochester, Minnesota native is garnering his first Performer of the Week honor.
