Brock Simon Award Player of the Week Week Of 11/28/2022 Sport Men's Basketball School University of Dubuque Year Senior Position Guard Hometown Cascade, Iowa High School Cascade Men’s Basketball – Player of the Week Brock Simon, University of Dubuque Sr., G, Cascade, Iowa/Cascade Simon helped the Spartans go 3-0 during the week with three straight road wins, Wartburg (68-60), Monmouth (77-74), and Blackburn (84-73). The senior guard paced UD with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds on the road at Wartburg for the first league game of the season. He recorded his second double-double of the week at Monmouth with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Simon led the Spartans to their fifth straight win, recording his 3rd straight double-double of the week with 23 points and 11 rebounds at Blackburn. The Cascade native shot 57% from the field, 81% from the free throw line, while averaging 11 rebounds per game. Additionally, Simon recorded two blocked shots, three steals, and added 10 assists. The Spartans improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in A-R-C play. Simon is a two-time A-R-C Defensive Player of the Year honoree. The Cascade native is picking up his first-career Player of the Week accolade.
