High School Menasha Wrestling - Wrestler of the Week Cullen Quick, Luther College Jr., 285lbs., Menasha, Wis./Menasha Quick finished second in the heavyweight bracket at the Pointer Open, hosted by UW-Stevens Point to open the 2022-23 season. The junior posted a 4-1 record, losing only the title bout on Saturday. Quick started the day defeating Eureka's Robert Castellano by fall in 4:05 after earning a first-round bye in the bracket. Quick moved on and beat top-seeded and returning All-American, Robby Bates of North Central in the quarterfinals by a 4-2 decision. The Menasha native advanced to the title bout with a 3-1 sudden victory over Albion's Christophe Krum. Quick's only loss on the day came by sudden victory (3-1) to Division II, UW-Parkside's Lloyd Reynolds. The junior is earning his first-career Wrestler of the Week honor in his career.
