High School Papillion Volleyball – Offensive Player of the Week Hannah Smith, Buena Vista University Sr., OH, Papillion, Neb./Papillion Smith helped lead the Buena Vista Beavers to a 3-2 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan to earn the No. 3 seed of the A-R-C Tournament. The senior outside hitter led the team in kills and digs on Wednesday’s match. With 19 kills in the match, Smith set a new career high. Smith had back-to-back kills as BVU faced match-point in the third set to help the team roll off four straight points and win 26-24. In addition to her offensive performance, Smith recorded 19 digs with just one reception error. The Beavers improved to 11-11 overall and finished conference play with a 5-3 mark. The Papillion, Nebraska native is picking up her first-career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
