Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week

  • Havemeier led NWU’s defense to two victories, including a quarterfinal win over Wartburg College in the A-R-C Men’s Soccer Tournament.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Central College 4-1 in the regular season finale to lock up the No. 5-seed in the A-R-C Men’s Soccer Tournament. In the quarterfinal round, the P-Wolves defeated No. 4-seed Wartburg College 2-1 to advance to the semifinals on Wednesday evening against Loras College.
  • The freshman played in all but two minutes of action for the Prairie Wolves where he not only was a top defender, but also added two goals during their win over Central College.
  • In the quarterfinal matchup, Havemeier helped defend off the Knights 21 shots.
  • The Knights improved to 8-6-3 overall and 4-2-2 in league play.
  • The Platte City, Missouri native is taking home his first-career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
