Isaac Havemeier Award Defensive Player of the Week Week Of 10/31/2022 Sport Men's Soccer School Nebraska Wesleyan University Year Freshman Position Defender Hometown Platte City, MO High School Platte County Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Isaac Havemeier, Nebraska Wesleyan University Fr., D, Platte City, Mo./Platte County Havemeier led NWU’s defense to two victories, including a quarterfinal win over Wartburg College in the A-R-C Men’s Soccer Tournament. Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Central College 4-1 in the regular season finale to lock up the No. 5-seed in the A-R-C Men’s Soccer Tournament. In the quarterfinal round, the P-Wolves defeated No. 4-seed Wartburg College 2-1 to advance to the semifinals on Wednesday evening against Loras College. The freshman played in all but two minutes of action for the Prairie Wolves where he not only was a top defender, but also added two goals during their win over Central College. In the quarterfinal matchup, Havemeier helped defend off the Knights 21 shots. The Knights improved to 8-6-3 overall and 4-2-2 in league play. The Platte City, Missouri native is taking home his first-career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
