Jay Oostendorp Award Defensive Player of the Week Week Of 10/31/2022 Sport Football School Coe College Year Junior Position Linebacker Hometown Cedar Rapids, Iowa High School Kennedy Football – Defensive Player of the Week Jay Oostendorp, Coe College Sr., LB, Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy Oostendorp helped lead the Kohawks to a 37-31 victory over (RV) Central College on Saturday. The senior linebacker recorded 8 total tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss which totaled to 26 yards lost. Oostendorp recorded 1.5 sacks for a total of 16 yards. Coe improved to 6-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play as they travel to Nebraska Wesleyan this weekend. Oostendorp is a 2021 Honorable Mention performer. This is the Cedar Rapids native’s first-career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
