The Ames, Iowa native tied the NCAA Division III record with five touchdown passes in one quarter. Downs was 12-for-19 on pass attempts with the longest being 55-yards. The sophomore threw for 174 yards, averaging 14.5 yards per pass. The Dutch improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Downs is garnering his first Offensive Player of the Week and Male Athlete of the Week honors.
