Parker Rochford Award Defensive Player of the Week Week Of 9/26/2022 Sport Football School Wartburg College Year Sophomore Position Hometown Edgewood, Iowa High School Edgewood-Colesburg Football – Defensive Player of the Week Parker Rochford, Wartburg College So., DB, Edgewood, Iowa/Edgewood-Colesburg Rochford led the No. 21-ranked Knights in tackles in their 25-0 victory over the University of Dubuque. The sophomore defensive back totaled seven tackles, five of which were solo. In addition, Rochford tied the school record with three interceptions. Rochford added two pass breakups in the shutout victory. Wartburg’s victory on Saturday marked the third-straight shutout and first time since 1942. The Knights improved to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in A-R-C action. This is the first Defensive Player of the Week honor for the Edgewood native.
