High School Normal Community Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Avery Mize, Wartburg College So., D, Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community Mize helped pace a Knights defense that allowed just one goal over three matches this year. The Knights defeated Saint Mary’s University (1-0), Illinois Wesleyan (3-0), and Dominican (3-1). The sophomore defender played all 90 minutes in the three contests. Wartburg improved to 5-0 on the season. The Bloomington, Illinois native is picking up her first-career women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor.
