Cade Collier Award Male Athlete of the Week Week Of 4/19/2022 Sport American Rivers Conference School University of Dubuque Year Junior Position Throws Hometown LeClaire, Iowa High School Pleasant Valley Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Cade Collier, University of Dubuque Jr., LeClaire, Iowa/Pleasant Valley The Spartans competed at the Loras College Easter Mid-Week Invitational on Wednesday, April 13th and the UW-Platteville Invitational on Friday, April 15th. Collier competed in three events at each invitational, shot put, discus, and hammer throw. At the Easter Mid-Week, Collier took home the title in all three events. At the UW-Platteville Invitational, Collier took home first in the shot put, second in the discus, and fourth in the hammer throw. In the shot put, the junior tossed 15.11 meters at the Easter Mid-Week and 15.72 at the UW-Platteville Invite. In the discus throw, Collier tossed 47.81 meters at the Easter Mid-Week and 42.68 meters at the UW-Platteville Invite. In the hammer throw, the Pleasant Valley prep threw 52.49 meters at the Easter Mid-Week and 53.53 meters at the UW-Platteville Invite. Collier is currently ranked No. 1/5/1 in the Midwest Region and No. 1/4/1 in the conference. The LeClaire, Iowa native is collecting his first-career Men’s Field Performer of the Week honor.
