Kaitlyn Wilder Award Field Performer of the Week (Women) Week Of 4/4/2022 Sport Outdoor Track & Field School University of Dubuque Year Sophomore Position Throws Hometown Dunkerton, Iowa High School Dunkerton Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Kaitlyn Wilder, University of Dubuque So., Dunkerton, Iowa/Dunkerton The Spartans competed at the UW-Platteville Pioneer Opener on Saturday April 2nd, 2022. Wilder competed in three events, shotput, discus, and hammer throw, and took home top accolades in each one. The sophomore threw 14.12 meters in the shotput, placing second out of 34 and 1.25 inches behind first place. In the discus, Wilder took the title with a toss of 43.63 meters and out throwing 32 competitors. The sophomore had another impressive showing in the hammer throw where she finished first out of 41 athletes with a throw of 53.88 meters, 12 feet ahead of second place. Wilder’s performances have her ranked No. 3/2/3 in NCAA DIII respectively, and No. 1/1/1 in the A-R-C. The Dunkerton, Iowa native is collecting her first career Women’s Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honor.
