The sophomore guard scored a season-high 22 points in the victory over the Knights, shooting 8-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-7 from behind the arc. He also recorded six assists, three steals, and two rebounds in Wednesday’s game. Schmitt followed that with a career afternoon at Nebraska Wesleyan, posting a career-high 34 points, five assists, and three steals. On the week, Schmitt averaged28 points and 5.5 assists per game. Schmitt is a 2020-21 All-Conference performer. The Dubuque, Iowa native is collecting his first-career Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade.
