Becca Simpson Award Field Performer of the Week (Women) Week Of 1/17/2022 Sport Indoor Track & Field School Buena Vista University Year Senior Position Hometown Plattsmouth, Neb High School Conestoga Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Performer of the Week Becca Simpson, Buena Vista Sr., Plattsmouth, Neb./Conestoga Buena Vista competed at the Central Dutch Athletic Classic on Saturday, Jan. 15 where the Beavers finished first with 162 team points, escaping second place by two points. Simpson took home first place out of 19 throwers in the weight throw with a toss of 16.88m, which took the school record for the Beavers. The senior was also crowned the winner of shot put after throwing 12.66m. She currently sits fourth in the A-R-C in shot put and second in weight throw. At the Division III level, Simpson is ranked fourth in the weight throw and 18th in shot put. This is Simpson’s second-career Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor (1/17/22, 3/1/21).
