The graduate student averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds over winter break. She had a pair of 26-point and 11-rebound performances, which brought her double-double mark to 19. Simpson’s forward shot for 60 percent overall (36-60) and a team-best 47.8 percent from three (11-23). Over the two-week span, she totaled 86 points, five steals, five blocked shots, and 28 total rebounds in 96 minutes played. The Storm improved to 12-0 overall and 8-0 in league play. Taylor is a two-time All-Conference Performer and was named league Most Valuable Player in 2020-21. This marks Taylor’s third this season and nineth career women’s basketball Player of the Week accolade (1/3/22, 11/29/21, 11/15/21, 2/22/2021, 2/1/21, 2/10/20, 12/17/18, 11/19/18, 11/12/18).
