High School Platteville Female Athlete of the Week - Women’s Basketball – Player of the Week Sami Martin, Loras College So., F, Platteville, Wis./Platteville Martin helped lead the Duhawks to a 2-0 week with wins over Coe (64-52) and Buena Vista (74-56). She averaged 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds during the two conference’s games. Martin recorded a double-double in the win over Coe with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The sophomore added 16 points and eight rebounds in the win over Buena Vista. On the week, Martin shot 56.0% from the floor and 89.0% from the free-throw line. Loras improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Martin is a 2020-21 First-Team All-Conference performer. The Platteville native is picking up her first-career women’s basketball Player of the Week honor.
