High School Wahlert Catholic Volleyball – Defensive Player of the Week Krystal Tranel, Loras College Gr., L, Kieler, Wis./Wahlert Catholic Tranel helped lead the Duhawks to a 2-2 week, with two conference wins over Nebraska Wesleyan (3-0) and Buena Vista (3-0). The graduate student posted 68 digs in 13 sets played this week, averaging 5.23 digs per set. She also had four aces in the four-game span, three of them against Nebraska Wesleyan. The Loras libero recorded no ball handling errors in their four contests. Tranel is a 2018 All-Conference honoree and 2020 (Spring 2021) All-Conference Honorable Mention. The Kieler, Wis. native is picking up her second career Defensive Player of the Week accolade (10/25/21, 10/14/19).
