Abby Cozzoni Award Defensive Player of the Week Week Of 10/18/2021 Sport Women's Soccer School Simpson College Year Sophomore Position Hometown Wentzille, Missouri High School Timberland Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player of the Week Abby Cozzoni, Simpson College So., D, Wentzille, Mo./Timberland Cozzoni helped lead the Storm to back-to-back shutouts over Dubuque (3-0) and Luther (2-0). The sophomore played all 180 minutes of the Storm’s contests. She anchored the Storm defense that gave up only six shots on goal over a two-game span. Simpson improve to 9-5-1 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Cozzoni is a 2020 (Spring 2021) All-Conference Honorable Mention honoree. The Wentzville, Missouri native is earning her second-career Defensive Player of the Week honor (10/18/21, 9/16/19).
