Alphonso Soko Award Male Athlete of the Week Week Of 9/13/2021 Sport American Rivers Conference School Coe College Year Junior Position Running Back Hometown Cedar Rapids, Iowa High School Muscatine Male Athlete of the Week – Football – Offensive Player of the Week Alphonso Soko, Coe College Jr., RB, Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine Soko led the Kohawks to a 28-21 win over Hope College. The Muscatine, Iowa native rushed for 284 yards on 33 attempts. The junior running back added one touchdown early in the first quarter on a 73-yard run. Soko’s 284 rushing yards is 7th all-time in Coe football history. This is the junior transfer’s first-career Offensive Player of the Week honor. Coe College’s Quentin White was the last Kohawk to earn Offensive Player of the Week accolades (10/21/19).
