Cole Schneider Award Player of the Week Week Of 5/10/2021 Sport Men's Tennis School Luther College Year Senior Position Hometown Coralville, Iowa High School Iowa City West Men’s Tennis – Player of the Week Cole Schneider, Luther College Sr., Coralville, Iowa/Iowa City West Schneider had another good week as he helped lead Luther to the A-R-C AQ tournament title and a berth to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The Norse defeated No. 5-seed Wartburg (5-0) in the semifinals and No. 2-seed Coe (5-2) in the championship match. The senior only played in one singles match that played to completion and it was a victory over Coe’s Jon Lansing (6-1, 6-4), as his singles match against Cade Davis of Wartburg was unfinished (6-1, 4-2). In doubles play at No. 1 with his partner Nyathi Motlojoa, the duo went 2-0, defeating Lucas Huffman and Jackson Eells of Wartburg (8-7 (7-2)) and Rami Hemaidan and Bo Wilson of Coe (8-7 (7-4)). The Norse are making their eighth appearance in the NCAA National Tournament. The Coralville, Iowa native is picking up his third consecutive Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor. Schneider is garnering his seventh career Player of the Week honor and third of 2021 (5/10/21, 5/3/21, 4/26/21, 3/9/20, 2/10/20, 3/18/18, 2/18/18).
