Hannah Ausenhus Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 5/10/2021 Sport Softball School Coe College Year Sophomore Position Pitcher Hometown Hanlontown, Iowa High School Central Springs Softball – Pitcher Player of the Week Hannah Ausenhus, Coe College So., P, Hanlontown, Iowa/Central Springs The sophomore hurler was 1-0 in two appearances over the weekend, earning her first save of the season in the series-clinching game on Saturday. The save clinched the Kohawks first A-R-C title since 2018 and locked their AQ bid to the 2021 NCAA Division III Softball Tournament, as the Kohawks defeated Wartburg 6-4. She pitched a total of eight innings over the series, scattering 11 hits and striking out four. Despite giving up six earned runs, Ausenhus managed to record a complete game in Friday’s game two to give a Coe a chance heading into Saturday, defeating the Knights 9-8. Game 2: Coe 9, Wartburg 8 – GS (CG), W (10-3), 7.0 IP, 10 H, 8 R (6 ER), 5 BB, 3 K. Game 3: Coe 6, Wartburg 4 – Save, 1.0 IP, H, BB, K.
