TJ Deardorff Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 5/10/2021 Sport Baseball School Coe College Year Senior Position Pitcher Hometown Dubuque, Iowa High School Dubuque Senior Baseball – Pitcher of the Week TJ Deardorff, Coe College Sr., P, Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque Senior Deardorff picked up two wins over the weekend, in a somewhat odd fashion, improving his season record to a perfect 8-0 mark with a 2.01 ERA. The senior righty pitched one scoreless inning on Saturday, in the resumption of Coe and Wartburg’s suspended game two from the day before, with the Kohawk’s winning in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the 12th inning. The Dubuque Senior prep then started the first game of the originally scheduled doubleheader, going all seven innings while just allowing four hits and one run. Game 2: Coe 7, Wartburg 6 (F/12) – Appearance, W (7-0), 1.0 IP, 3-batters faced. Game 3: Coe 7, Wartburg 1 – GS (CG), W (8-0), 7.0 IP, 4 H, R (earned), 1.00 ERA, BB, 8 K, .174 BAA, 27-batters faced. Deardorff joins teammate TJ Johnson as the second Kohawk to earn Pitcher of the Week honors twice this season. The senior now has two Pitcher of the Week honors to his name (5/10/21, 3/22/21).
