Joy Smith Award Offensive Player of the Week Week Of 4/26/2021 Sport Women's Soccer School Wartburg College Year Junior Position Forward Hometown Polk City, Iowa High School Homeschooled Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week Joy Smith, Wartburg College Jr., F, Polk City, Iowa/Homeschooled Smith scored the game-winning goal in Wartburg’s 2-0 victory over Luther College on Wednesday, April 21. The victory gave the Knights their fourth conference title and first since 2015. In addition to her goal, the junior led the team with two shots, finishing the season with a team-best six goals and seven points. A 2019 All-Conference performer, Smith is picking up her second Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor (4/26/21, 9/16/19).
