Renner set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11 minutes, 7.18 seconds. The victory was a convincing one, finishing one minute ahead of the second-place runner. The performance came a week after Renner ran the second-fastest time in school history. As a first-year, Renner was ninth at the 2019 A-R-C outdoor meet (no 2020 meet).
