Skyler Stookey Award Position Player of the Week Week Of 4/5/2021 Sport Softball School Coe College Year Sophomore Position Catcher Hometown Solon, Iowa High School Solon Softball – Position Player of the Week Skyler Stookey, Coe College So., C, Solon, Iowa/Solon Stookey helped guide the Kohawks to a 2-1 series victory over Buena Vista this last weekend. The sophomore catcher recorded back-to-back multi-hit games in the doubleheader on Friday, adding four RBI and two runs scored. In the opener, she posted a two-RBI single to start the scoring for Coe and then later doubled home her third RBI of the contest. In game two, she posted two more hits and one walk, driving in another run on a single in the second inning. She is now hitting .423 on the season with 13 RBI and 16 runs scored as the Kohawks improve to 10-6 overall and 5-3 in A-R-C play. This is the Solon, Iowa native’s first-career Position Player of the Week honor.
