The time currently ranks as the second fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. The senior broke the previous record set by Brian Chenoweth (2009) at 30:07.34. Freiburger marks the first Wartburg individual to earn Outdoor Track Performer of the Week accolades since Daniel Bonthius on May 3, 2015. The Knights’ 4x800 team earned Outdoor Track Performer of the Week recognition on April 29, 2019. The Western Dubuque prep is picking up his first-career Outdoor Men’s Track Performer of the Week honor. The last time there was an A-R-C Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 9-11, 2019, Freiburger won gold in the 10,000 meter run.
