Zaiah Quirk Award Offensive Player of the Week Week Of 3/29/2021 Sport Volleyball School Wartburg College Year Junior Position Outside Hitter Hometown Urbandale, Iowa High School Urbandale Volleyball – Offensive Player of the Week Zaiah Quirk, Wartburg College Jr., OH, Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale Wartburg outside hitter Zaiah Quirk helped lead the Knights to a 3-0 week to wrap up the season, helping Wartburg to earn a share of the league title. Wartburg defeated Luther in Decorah on Monday (3-0), Loras on Thursday (3-0), and Nebraska Wesleyan on the road on Saturday (3-2). The junior had a total of 49 kills with a .394 attacking percentage in 11 sets played, while averaging 4.45 kills per set. In the match against the Norse, Quirk had a career-high 21 kills in the sweep, with a hitting percentage of .571. Against the Duhawks, the outside hitter had a stellar hitting percentage of .591 for the Knights in the straight sets victory. In the season finale against Nebraska Wesleyan, Quirk recorded 15 kills to cap off the 2020 spring season. The Urbandale, Iowa native is collecting her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
