Ashtyn Miller Award Position Player of the Week Week Of 3/15/2021 Sport Softball School Buena Vista University Year Junior Position Infield Hometown Council Bluffs, Iowa High School Lewis Central Softball – Position Player of the Week Ashtyn Miller, Buena Vista University Jr., INF, Council Bluffs, Iowa/Lewis Central Miller had a stellar weekend at the plate in Buena Vista’s sweep of Greenville (Ill.) 4-2 and 6-2. She led the team with six hits in her seven at-bats, while picking up her first home run of the season. Her two RBIs in the doubleheader gives her 17 on the season, which sits second-best in the A-R-C. Game 1: BVU 4, Greenville 2 – 4-for-4 (1.000), 3 H, 2 R, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, 7 putouts. Game 2: BVU 6, Greenville 2 – 3-for-4 (.750), 3 H, stolen base, 1 putout. The Beavers improve to 8-4 on the season. This is the junior’s first-career Softball Position Player of the Week honor.
