Tenth-ranked Simpson defeated the Knights 81-80, thanks to Freland connecting on a las-second triple in the second overtime. This is just the second time in the freshman’s young career she has scored in double figures. The win clinched the top-seed for the Storm in this year’s A-R-C women’s basketball tournament. Freland is garnering her first-career Player of the Week accolade.
