At 174lbs., he defeated NWU’s Talan McGill by fall in 36 seconds. In a top-10 individual matchup against No. 7-ranked Duhawk wrestler Jacob Krakow, second-ranked Briggs would take home the 8-0 major decision victory helping to secure the conference title. Briggs would finish the season undefeated in conference matches. This is the Cedar Rapids, Iowa native’s fourth career Wrestler of the Week honor (2/15/21, 2/3/20, 12/30/19, 12/3/18).
