On Jan. 27 Simpson took down Nebraska Wesleyan 88-48. The Creston, Iowa native dropped 30 points in the Storm’s 40-point victory over NWU while collecting eight rebounds. Against the Kohawks, Taylor had a double-double performance, scoring 16 points and collecting 10 rebounds in the win. Simpson has won Female Athlete of the Week and Women’s Basketball Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks (Cameron Kincaid). This is Taylor’s fifth career Player of the Week honor (2/1/21, 2/10/20, 12/17/18, 11/19/18, 11/12/18) and fourth career Female Athlete of the Week honor.
