Clair Moore Award Player of the Week Week Of 10/26/2020 Sport Women's Tennis School Loras College Year Freshman Position Hometown Quincy, Illinois High School Quincy Notre Dame Women’s Tennis – Player of the Week Clair Moore, Loras College Fr., Quincy, Ill./Quincy Notre Dame Moore picked up three singles wins this week over Central, Nebraska Wesleyan, and Simpson. The Duhawks picked up two wins this week over Nebraska Wesleyan (7-2) and Simpson (5-4), moving to 4-2 on the season. At the No. 5 spot, Moore defeated Simpson’s Kinghorn (6-3, 6-3) and Central’s Larson (6-3, 6-2). Against NWU, the freshman played at the No. 4 spot, defeating Carley Rubenking (6-1, 6-1). Moore and her doubles partner, Isabel Schwabe, at No.3, defeated Simpson’s Kinghorn/Ocheltree 8-0. The Quincy, Ill. native finished the 2020 campaign with a 10-1 singles record and was the C-Singles flight champion at this year’s A-R-C Individual Tournament. This is the freshman’s first career Player of the Week honors.
