This weeks’ time set a course record and set a personal best time of 24:42.7 and was seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The Knights took a first-place finish with 17 team points, defeating Central and Simpson. This also marks three straight Runner of the Week honors for Freiburger, with his this week’s 8k time ranking 5th all-time at Wartburg. This is the senior’s seventh career Runner of the Week mark (11/3/19, 10/21/19, 9/23/19, 9/9/19, 9/14/20, 9/28/20, 10/13/20). Freiburger was the 2019 A-R-C Champion and finished 22nd at last year’s NCAA Championships.
