Kassie Rosenbum Award Female Athlete of the Week Week Of 9/14/2020 Sport American Rivers Conference School Loras College Year Junior Position Hometown Guttenberg, Iowa High School Clayton Ridge Female Athlete of the Week – Women’s Cross Country – Runner of the Week Kassie Rosenbum, Loras College Jr., Guttenberg, Iowa/Clayton Ridge Rosenbum got off to a fast start this season setting a new Loras school record in the 5,000-meter race on Saturday with a time of 17:56.7 to take home first place. The junior finished nearly two full minutes before the second-place finisher at the Central College Triangular. Her time also established a new Central College Cross Country Course record, a course that opened in 2004 (previous record – 18:10, Obsie Birru, 2008). The Guttenberg, Iowa native helped guide the Duhawks to a first-place team finish with 24 team points. Rosenbum is earning her fifth career Runner of the Week accolade (10/21/19, 10/7/19, 9/23/19, 9/2/19, 9/14/20) A season ago Rosenbum finished second at the A-R-C championships and 5th at the 2019 NCAA Championships.
