Wartburg defeated the University Dubuque (9-0) and Grand View University (7-0). At No.1 singles, the sophomore defeated Dubuque’s Alyssa Stevenson 7-5, 1-6, 1-0 (8) in the A-R-C opener. Phillips and partner, Sydney Rottinghaus, defeated Dubuque’s Stevenson and Colon 8-4 at No.1 doubles. This marks Phillips’s first career Female Athlete of the Week and Women’s Tennis Player of the Week accolades. The last Wartburg Knight to be named Women’s Tennis Player of the Week of Lauren O’Brian (Oct. 8, 2018).
