Schaben found herself in three relief appearances in Tucson. The freshman threw 5.2 shutout innings against the No.8-ranked DePauw Tigers, in the 7-2 Dutch win. The freshman threw a scoreless 1.1 innings in relief against Emerson, striking out three of the four batters she faced. She worked out of a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the 3-2 win over Claremont (Calif.), going 2.2 innings and only allowing one run and struck out three. In the three appearances combined, Schaben threw 9.2 innings, six hits, and 10 strikeouts. This is the freshman’s first career Pitcher of the Week accolade.
