High School Marian Central Catholic Men’s Tennis – Player of the Week Connor Pivnicka, Loras College Jr., Woodstock, Ill./Marian Central Catholic Pivnicka and the Duhawks went 1-1 last week with junior winning both singles and doubles matches. At No.3 doubles against Cornell, Pivnicka and his partner, Tommy Linkenheld, beat Koichi Okazaki and Nick Adamou, 8-5. Against the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), Pivnicka and Linkenheld defeated Joshua Fay and Nathan Chapman at No.3 doubles, 8-1. The junior would play No. 4 singles against Cornell, defeating Drew Arnold, 6-3, 6-4. He would play No. 5 singles against MSOE, defeating Joshua Fay, 6-0, 6-2. This is Pivnicka’s first career Player of the Week accolade.
