Hometown Cherryvale, Kansas High School Chanute Wrestling – Wrestler of the Week Brady Vogel, Loras College Fr., 184lbs., Cherryvale, Kan./Chanute Vogel scored four wins for the No. 3-ranked Duhawks this last week. In the A-R-C dual of the week, Vogel wrestled up a class in the 41-9 win against No. 20-Central and pinned his opponent, Tanner Zimmerman, at 2:48. Vogel won the 184 lbs. championship at the Cliff Keen/Mike Duroe Invitational hosted by Cornell College, defeating Cornell’s Bryce Oveson 8-7. The Cherryvale, Kan. native advanced to the championship with two pins – 2:03 over Cronell’s Robert Noga and 0:50 over teammate Rochard Hunter. He also recorded a major decision (17-5) over Augustana’s Tristan Richardson. This is the freshman’s first career Wrestler of the Week honor.
