Hometown Tama, Iowa High School South Tama Male Athlete of the Week - Wrestling – Wrestler of the Week Brady Fritz, Wartburg College So., 141lbs., Tama, Iowa/South Tama Fritz went 4-0 in Wartburg’s four duals at the 2020 NWCA National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky, setting the pace to Wartburg’s 12th NWCA National Duals title. The sophomore currently sits ranked second nationally at 141 lbs. In his first match of the weekend, Fritz bumped up to 149lbs., picking up a major decision over Millikin’s Peter McCusker. The Tama, Iowa native picked up two wins by fall over Tanner Mchugh of No. 7-ranked Baldwin Wallace and Brock Peele of third-ranked Wabash. The highlight of his weekend in Louisville was a 3-1 decision over top-ranked and defending national champion David Flynn of Augsburg University. Fritz is now 16-3 on the season. This is Fritz’s first Wrestler of the Week award.
