The sophomore currently sits ranked second nationally at 141 lbs. In his first match of the weekend, Fritz bumped up to 149lbs., picking up a major decision over Millikin’s Peter McCusker. The Tama, Iowa native picked up two wins by fall over Tanner Mchugh of No. 7-ranked Baldwin Wallace and Brock Peele of third-ranked Wabash. The highlight of his weekend in Louisville was a 3-1 decision over top-ranked and defending national champion David Flynn of Augsburg University. Fritz is now 16-3 on the season. This is Fritz’s first Wrestler of the Week award.
