Hometown Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin High School Sauk Prairie Male Athlete of the Week - Wrestling – Wrestler of the Week Eddie Smith, Loras College Sr., 165 lbs., Prairie du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie Smith helped the Duhawks stay undefeated on the year in duals (4-0) with a 28-10 win over No. 18 ranked Millikin University on December 14, 2019. The senior 165-pounder defeated No. 6/5 ranked and former All-American Bradan Birt of Millikin by 5-2 decision. The win moved Smith’s 2019-20 record to 4-2. Smith earned All-American honors at the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships, finishing fourth in the 165 lbs. bracket. Of Loras’ four dual wins this season, three have come against top-20 opponent. The Duhawks hit the mat again on January 20, 2020 at their own Flash Flanagan Open. This is Smith’s second career Wrestler of the Week accolade (12/15/19, 11/13/16).
