Ben Keller Award Offensive Player of the Week Week Of 11/11/2019 Sport Men's Soccer School Luther College Year Senior Position Hometown Vadnais Heights, Minnesota High School White Bear Lake Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week Ben Keller, Luther College Sr., F, Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake Keller helped lead Luther to the A-R-C Tournament championship scoring the game winner at 88:55 to give Norse a 2-1 win over Loras College. It was his 14th goal of the year and 8th game winner for Keller. The Norse, seeded fifth in this year’s tournament, became the lowest seed to ever win the championship and only the second fifth seed to make the title game. Luther won the conference tournament for the third time in four years and 9th time in 24-year history of the tournament. In addition to their road win over Loras, Luther took out the tournament’s top seed, Central, on November 6th. Keller added an assist and placed two shots on goal in Luther’s 3-0 win over Central. As the A-R-C’s automatic qualifier, Luther is making their 10th appearance in the NCAA III National Tournament. The NCAA announced Monday, November 11 that Luther will host one of sixteen regionals Saturday, Nov. 16 – Sunday, November 17. The Norse will face Principia College in the first round at 1:00 p.m. on November 16. This marks the senior’s sixth Offensive Player of the Week award (11/11/19, 10/21/19, 9/16/19, 9/10/19, 10/22/17, 9/10/17).
