Matt Staver Award Player of the Week Week Of 10/14/2019 Sport Men's Swim/Dive School Luther College Year Senior Position Hometown Bloomington, Illinois High School Normal Community Men’s Swimming & Diving – Performer of the Week Matt Staver, Luther College Sr., Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community Staver helped lead Luther to 113-89 dual meet victory over Nebraska Wesleyan held Oct. 11. The senior was a member of the first place 200 Medley Relay (1:42.45). In the 200 freestyle, Staver touched the wall in 1:52.83 to take first place. He placed second in the 100 freestyle (51.60). During the Luther Invitational held Oct. 12, he placed 1st in the 100 butterfly (54.97), second in the 200 freestyle (1:50.35), third in the 200 IM (2:09.83), and fourth in the 100 freestyle (50.87). Luther placed 3rd of 3 teams (UW-La Crosse 1st, Nebraska Wesleyan 2nd). Staver is picking up his first Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week honor.
