Jordy Triana-Vasquez Award Offensive Player of the Week Week Of 10/14/2019 Sport Men's Soccer School Simpson College Year Freshman Position Hometown Clive, Iowa High School West Des Moines Valley Male Athlete of the Week – Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week Jordy Triana-Vasquez, Simpson College Fr., MF, Clive, Iowa/West Des Moines Valley Triana-Vasquez helped the Storm secure two A-R-C wins last week against Coe and No.14 Luther. Additionally, Simpson recorded a 2-2 draw against Concorida-Morehead on Sunday, October 13. The Des Moines Valley prep scored the game-winners in both league contests with a 74th-minute score off a bicycle kick to give the Storm their first win against the Norse in 10 tries. Triana-Vasquez tallied three points against the Kohawks with a goal and an assist, as the Storm won 4-1. Simpson is now 13-1-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Storm are back in action Tuesday, October 15 against Buena Vista University. First-year, Triana-Vasquez is earning his first Offensive Player of the Week award.
